The LoRa 433MHz SX1278 Module is a long-range, low-power RF transceiver based on the Semtech SX1278 LoRa chipset. Operating at 433MHz ISM band, it uses LoRa modulation technology that provides exceptional sensitivity (up to -148 dBm) and long-distance communication (up to 5–8 km in open space, and 2–3 km in urban conditions). This module communicates via SPI interface, making it compatible with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, and IoT platforms. It supports low data rates (300 bps – 37.5 kbps) which makes it perfect for long-range IoT, sensor networks, smart agriculture, industrial automation, and research-level wireless communication experiments.
Due to its high penetration capability and resistance to interference, LoRa SX1278 is widely used in research projects involving remote environmental monitoring, smart city infrastructure, drone telemetry, and security systems. |
